artistdirect (www.artistdirect.com) today announced the addition of kdlangdirect (www.kdlangdirect.com), k.d. lang's official online store, to the artistdirect network. in addition to creating the store in partnership with lang, artistdirect will also host and maintain k.d.'s official site (www.kdlang.com). to inaugurate the launch, artistdirect will stream on-demand "artist access with k.d. lang," an up-close look at the singer, her newest recording "invincible summer," her life and her influences. the segment was created by artistdirect, and will appear exclusively on the network.

kd lang prepares to release a new album, soon, entitled invincible summer. produced by william orbit disciple damian legassick, the album features pop tunes with a summer feel inspired by brazilian jazz/pop and the mamas & the papas. already being hailed as the artist's most accessible album since 1992's ingenue, remixes of the albums cuts by noteworthies victor calderone, alex gifford and david kahne are bound to make this a neverending summer for lang.
