it has been reported that kevin dunn, bette midler's small-screen husband, will be leaving bette after only ten episodes. though rumors persist that the departure is the result of animosity between the actor and the show's centerpiece, bette spokespeople have explained the decision to have been mutual between dunn and the show's producers. dunn is the second cast member to leave the show—the first being young actress lindsay lohan, who was hired to portray bette's daughter, when it was believed the show would be filmed in new york, and who was replaced by the equally-talented marina malota—which has enjoyed excellent reviews since its debut.
